Lecture painting in the Odessa Art Museum

February 6, 2018 г. The theme of Ukrainian Art Nouveau in painting is attractive and unexplored. We begin a series of lectures dedicated to the specifics of Ukrainian modernity in the context of European art trends of the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. The first lecture is dedicated to the life and work of the talented Ukrainian artist Alexander Murashko (1875-1919), who is represented in the halls of the Odessa Art Museum with his early work "At the Cafe."
His creative path, like a bright flash, lit up the history of Ukrainian painting, is the most intense and contradictory two decades of the beginning of the twentieth century. For the external shine of European impressionism and the spirituality of the Ukrainian soul, collectors called it "Ukrainian Serov". About this and many other things you can learn at the lecture of the scientific employee of OHM V.V.Fenelonova.
